Zyry had been a complete pain since she had seen her mother wonder off towards the woods. She'd obviously thought that this time they would all be together in the hunt. She stamped and snorted, finally finishing with a scream when he tried to hold her for as long as he possibly could to give her mother a chance to get away from her. This episode had put them both in a sour mood and was making the going difficult. Zyry didn't want to listen to him and he most certainly did not want to listen to her. He kept thinking that she was trying to loop back towards her mother, possibly mixing She Wolfe's sent up with Gunpowder's. Could he really be surprised though? This was Zydrate Anatomy's first outing without her mother being right next to her. It was probably the most daunting thing she had done in her life. He supposed then that he should cut her some slack.

She seemed to have sensed the change in her riders resolve and almost made him regret it. She almost tore the rein from his hands, rearing up with a scream and taking off at full speed through the woods. As he clung to her back with his long limbs like a burr Vincent could only hope that she had the scent of the male they where looking for.

Final entry finally done (so far), and she was a pain and never quite wanted to go down on the paper. Her paws are still pretty rubbish if you ask me though. There's a blurred lump in the top left hand corner that's supposed to represent Gunpowder. I got tired of messing with it after a while so I hope this is ok. Stock reference was used but it was from a newspaper I have lying around. This is for :icondark-fantasy-farms: Turkey Dash.

I'd mainly like critiques on how to draw paws please

Overall this is an excellent piece, the colours, pose, and choice of stock all lend a very atmospheric, Autumnal air to it. The horse's 'rearing' pose and that of the rider lend a dramatic feel, the rider's expression is one of grim determination rather than panic, showing that he is a competent horseman, adding depth and character to the work.
There is, however one slight flaw in the rider's anatomy. The rider's head is just marginally too big for the body, and the placement of the eye is too low. In profile, the human eye is level with the bridge of the nose, just below the browline. [link]
